Mayor Frank G. Jackson administered the oath of office to thirteen patrol officers and seven firefighters recalled to duty from layoff status to replace officers and firefighters who retired within the past sixty days. In addition, Mayor Jackson promoted six police officers and two firefighters to supervisory positions.

Website Has New Safety Tools New features can be accessed from the Police Home Page on the "Online Safety Tools" tab. Web users can report some common property damage or theft crimes online, search neighborhood crime maps and view/print copies of accident reports at no cost. They may also sign up to receive crime alerts, if desired. more
Stray Cat Sterilization Available Help is available for Cleveland residents concerned about the stray cat population. The City recently granted $10,000 to the Animal Protective League to help defray the cost of sterilization for feral cats. more
