Community Relation Awards

Mayor Frank G. Jackson was joined by Chief of Police Calvin D. Williams, Second District Commander Thomas Stacho and Director of Community Relations Board Blaine Griffin to congratulate officers and citizens at the Second District Police Community Relations Awards Program held at OLA-St. Joseph Center on West 14th Street in Cleveland. Officers and Cleveland citizens who have gone above and beyond the call of duty were honored at this special awards recognition event. In addition, Cleveland City Council President Kevin Kelley, and Councilmen Anthony Brancatelli (Ward 12), Brian Cummings (Ward 14) and Matt Zone (Ward 15) attended this special celebration to recognize and thank police officers and community members for their dedication and commitment to the City of Cleveland.

Officers and citizens were recognized for their outstanding service to strengthen the safety of Cleveland neighborhoods and improve the quality of life for the people in the City of Cleveland. Community members, business representatives and family members were in attendance. This event was hosted by the Third District Police Community Relations Committee. The committee provides a structure which promotes communication and active mutual participation between the Cleveland Division of Police and the community, regarding safety and law enforcement in the neighborhoods.
