Police Policy Feedback

Held at the Cleveland Justice Center on Ontario Street, the Ohio Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) announced policies developed for the Cleveland Division of Police as well as information related to CIT’s general police order. The development of new policies and general police orders were generated as part of a strong collaborative effort from various organizations including the Cleveland Division of Police, the Consent Decree Monitoring Team, the United States Department of Justice, the Mental Health Response Advisory Committee of the Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board of Cuyahoga County, and the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio.

In addition to this announcement, the policies were released for public review and feedback. Mayor Frank G. Jackson and the City of Cleveland Chief of Police Calvin D. Williams welcome and encourage public participation during the feedback process.
