Public Safety Tip Line

Mayor Frank G.  Jackson and Chief of Police Calvin Williams announced the launching of a new tip line. One of the strongest aspects in effective policing is a strong partnership within the Cleveland community. Cleveland’s Department of Public Safety and other law enforcement agencies rely on the eyes and ears of residents each day. As a reminder, everyone can do their part, “If you see something, say something.” Together Clevelanders can help keep this community safe.

The law enforcement agencies involved in preparing for a safer and secure community and activities surrounding the Republican National Convention (RNC) have set up a designated tip line for the public to utilize for suspicious information or activity to be reported. The RNC tip line is 1-800-225-5324.

Tips on Reporting Suspicious Activity:

  • Suspicious activity should be reported to the local law enforcement agency. Observations should be described specifically, including:
    • Who or what was seen;
    • When it was seen;
    • Where it occurred; and,
    • Why it's suspicious.
