City Receives Justice Department National Special Security Event Grant for RNC Security

CLEVELAND – The City of Cleveland has received the National Special Security Event grant from U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, for funding in support of security planning for the 2016 Republican National Convention.

The purpose of this grant is to provide support to the City of Cleveland for law enforcement expenditures and related security costs, including necessary personnel and equipment costs, needed to implement the security plan for the convention.
