Black History Month
The City of Cleveland continued its annual Black History Month celebration with a ceremony honoring the armed forces.
The "Building a Sense of Community: A Salute to Black Armed Forces" event honored Triple Nickle Richard Johnson, Tuskegee Airmen Roy S. Richardson and Asa V. Newman as well as Buffalo Soldier Thomas Earl Cooper (posthumously).
The City of Cleveland’s Black History Month events are free and open to the public. Events in City Hall Rotunda are located on the first floor of 601 Lakeside Ave. Paid parking is located in the Willard Garage, located behind City Hall. Metered street parking is also available.
