City of Cleveland Begins New Round of State-Mandated Home Placarding

The City of Cleveland will begin a new round of home placarding on Monday, April 2. Placarding is mandated by the State of Ohio –it involves signage on properties alerting potential residents a home is legally uninhabitable due to uncorrected lead hazards. The process helps protect children by indicating a home is unsafe for human occupancy, especially for anyone under six years‟ old and pregnant women.
