Western Avenue & West 101st Street

(City of Cleveland – Ward 15)

CLEVELAND – Pipeline infrastructure improvements begin on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, weather permitting. It includes work on the following street:

  • Western Avenue – From West 100th Street to West Boulevard

The improvement project will replace the old steel mainline with new steel mainline in the westbound curb lane of Western Avenue. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times on Western Avenue between West Boulevard and West 100th Street.

Traffic control personnel will be present in the work zone and a Law Enforcement Officer (L.E.O.) will be present at all signalized intersections on West Boulevard. Access to adjacent driveways will be maintained throughout construction and the work will take place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This project is scheduled for completion in February 2018. Due to winter weather, any sidewalk areas that cannot be permanently restored until the spring of 2018, a 2” thick temporary concrete surface will be installed. For road openings, a 3” concrete cap will be installed flush with the road surface until asphalt can be placed in the spring of 2018.
