Expect additional traffic notices as work progresses

CLEVELAND –   Pipeline infrastructure improvements begin on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, weather permitting. It includes work on the following streets:

  • Madison Avenue – South side from West 101st Street to West Boulevard (Ward 15)
  • Madison Avenue – North side from West 102nd Street to Berea Road (Ward 11)
  • Madison Avenue – North side from West 112th Street to West 115th Street (Ward 15)

The project scope is to replace the old steel mainline with new plastic mainline in the sidewalk area prior to the City of Cleveland Capital project starting in February of 2018.  One lane of traffic (each way) will be maintained during construction with traffic control personnel in the work zone(s) directing traffic.  A Law Enforcement Officer (L.E.O.) will be present at all signalized intersections.  Access to adjacent driveways will be maintained throughout construction and the work will take place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This project is scheduled for completion in March 2018.  Restoration of the sidewalk areas will be coordinated with the City of Cleveland Capital project.  If permanent concrete cannot be placed due to weather or the Capital project, 2” temporary concrete will be emplaced to provide a walkable surface until a permanent sidewalk can be installed.
