Mayor Jackson Congratulates Joey Davis, Undefeated Wrestling Champion and Community Servant

Mayor Frank G. Jackson congratulated Joey Davis, the undefeated wrestling champion and community servant, on his many accomplishments and presented him, with a certificate of recognition. In addition, Mayor Jackson also thanked him for his contributions to the Cleveland community and wished him continued service and success. Mr. Davis has shown a strong civic responsibility and commitment to community by giving back to others through wrestling and mentoring clinics in the Greater Cleveland community. Mr. Davis was accompanied Bill Splete, Assistant Coach at Mentor High School

  • RNC Host Committee Thanks Cleveland With Weekend of Free Events

    Beginning with the Cleveland Orchestra's Star Spangled Banner Concert and fireworks on July 29th at Public Square, "A Community Thank You Party" follows on Saturday July 30th.  Among other events, there will be free Rock and Roll Hall of Fame admission for Northeast Ohio residents. 

  • Some Little Known Facts about Cleveland City Hall

    The original City Hall had several locations prior to arriving at 601 Lakeside Avenue. One location was the Case Block, a commercial building on Superior Avenue that stood in the present location of the Cleveland Public Library’s main building. The city leased the Case Block from 1875-1906 at $36,000 per year and finally purchased the building from the Case Estate in 1906.
