Bard High School Early College Summer Internship Program Students Visit City Hall

In an effort to highlight government careers, four students from Bard High School Early College (BHSEC), participating in a summer internship program, focused on public sector employers in the City of Cleveland, visited and toured Cleveland City Hall and were welcomed by Mayor Frank G. Jackson and Chief of Education, Monyka Price. As part of the four week program and partnership, accompanied by their program mentor, Dr. Lisa Thomas and Dean of Students, Arin Miller-Tait, students will tour various government buildings in Cleveland, including ADAMHS Board, Cuyahoga Arts and Culture, Cuyahoga City Council and the Cleveland Housing Court.

  • Plankton Fund Gives Dogs Second Chances

    The Plankton Fund was created in response to the heartworm positive dogs that come into the Cleveland Animal Care and Control (CACC) that have limited options due to the cost of heartworm treatment

  • Division of Recreation Offers Free Fun for All!

    Offered by the Department of Recreation: Sand Volleyball, summer camp at Camp George L. Forbes, baseball and softball for youth ages 4—19, Jr. Golf for Cleveland youth ages 9-17, outdoor pools and spray basins, learn to swim classes, Showagon (looking for local talent!), free summer lunch program and more!

  • Summer Food Service Program

    This year the Summer Lunch program will serve children ages 1-18 Monday thru Friday at various City of Cleveland playground sites, recreation centers, and nonprofit organizations. The Summer Food Service Program ensures that low-income children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session.
