Asphalt Cinema Presents Outdoor Movie

The City of Cleveland’s Division of Public Safety First District held a Community Safety Fair along with a free Asphalt Cinema Outdoor Movie viewing. Movie goers had an opportunity to gather for a free Asphalt Cinema Outdoor Movie held at Impett Park on West 153rd Street in Cleveland. This free, fun-filled Safety Fair and Movie showing was full of various activities to encourage bringing unity back into the community.

  • Some Little Known Facts about Cleveland City Hall

    The original City Hall had several locations prior to arriving at 601 Lakeside Avenue. One location was the Case Block, a commercial building on Superior Avenue that stood in the present location of the Cleveland Public Library’s main building. The city leased the Case Block from 1875-1906 at $36,000 per year and finally purchased the building from the Case Estate in 1906. 

  • 9/10: The Great Lake Erie Boat Float

    This unique event helps raise awareness about the impacts of plastics on the environment, in particular oceans, lakes and streams. Part design competition, part boat race, the Great Lake Erie Boat Float is also lots of fun. The Boat Float is held in conjunction with The Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s annual Conservation Symposium.

  • Safe Routes to School Program

    This program enables and encourages students in kindergarten through 8th grade to walk and bike to school safely. Safe Routes can improve community safety, increase health and wellness, improve academic performance, and help the environment. In addition, infrastructure improvements through Safe Routes will benefit city residents who walk, bicycle or drive in areas around schools.

  • Plankton Fund Gives Dogs Second Chances

    The Plankton Fund was created in response to the heartworm positive dogs that come into the Cleveland Animal Care and Control (CACC) that have limited options due to the cost of heartworm treatment
