Look Up to Cleveland Summer Leadership Academy Students

Twenty-three high school juniors and seniors participating in the Look Up to Cleveland Summer Leadership Academy were accompanied by program mentors for a meet and greet with Mayor Frank G. Jackson in the Red Room at Cleveland City Hall.

    This issue includes information about free summer meals; spray basin and pool locations; youth golfing baseball and tennis; the history of League Park and much more.

  • Many Playgrounds Now Staffed for the Summer

    Staffing is on weekdays from 9am to 5:30pm until August 7th. Spray basins are open when temps reach 80 degrees. Lunch is available at all recreation centers and playgrounds. 

  • Free Tennis Lessons for Boys and Girls

    The Division of Recreation is offereng free tennis lessons for boys and girls ages 8 to 17 weekdays from June 15th to August 6th. There is no fee for the lessons which are being taught at a number of locations.

  • Plankton Fund Gives Dogs Second Chances

    The Plankton Fund was created in response to the heartworm positive dogs that come into the Cleveland Animal Care and Control (CACC) that have limited options due to the cost of heartworm treatment

  • Young Audiences' ArtWorks Program

    This arts-based job training program for high school students is designed to develop 21st Century skills for the workplace through apprenticeships in the arts. ArtWorks Flyer.
