Sustainable Cleveland 2019: Together, We’re Building a Thriving Green City on a Blue Lake

As part of Mayor Frank G. Jackson’s Sustainable Cleveland initiative, every year leading up to 2019, Cleveland will focus on one of the key areas fundamental to a sustainable city. The Sustainable Cleveland Celebration Years are designed to be accessible to all members of the community — households, neighborhoods, businesses, and institutions can all participate, either in collaboration or independently. In 2016, the City of Cleveland’s 8th Annual Sustainability Cleveland Summit, is celebrating the “Year of Sustainable Transportation,” by supporting healthier forms of moving around.

"Cleveland is a great city. Through the years, we have built world-renowned institutions including our orchestra and our museums. We support nationally recognized sports teams. Our medical and research facilities have created a health care capital in Cleveland and our colleges and universities attract researchers and students from around the world. " -more
