31st Annual Peace Officers Memorial Day Parade

The Greater Cleveland Peace Officers’ Memorial Society paid a special tribute to honor fallen public servants during its 31st Annual Peace Officers Memorial Day Parade and Memorial Service for the Northeast Ohio region which includes Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, Geauga, Lake and Northern Summit Counties. The Police Memorial Service was held at Huntington Park. This year’s Annual Police Memorial Commemoration Week is held from Saturday, May 14, 2016 through Sunday, May 22, 2016 in honor of fallen police officers.

  • US DOJ Police Settlement Agreement Data Posted Online

    The United States Department of Justice and the City of Cleveland have entered into an agreement to create widespread reforms and changes within the Cleveland Division of Police. There will be broad data collection regarding many of CDP’s activities, including its use of force and stop and search practices, and public reporting of that data on this website.

  • Permit Applications for Republican National Convention

    The City of Cleveland has established a drop box in which all permit applications for parades and special uses on City parks during the week of the RNC will be deposited. This same drop box will be used for all RNC special use and parade permit applications which will appear as they are updated. The drop box may be checked periodically for any additions or updates.

  • Cleveland Police Celebrate 150 Year Anniversary in 2016

    Police history goes all the way back to the City's founder, Moses Cleaveland. When he established this great city, he conducted a survey seeking to “Establish peace, quiet and safety” in the settlement, making him Cleveland's very first Peace Officer.
