In addition to team personnel from all 5 counties in the region, the strike team also is able to provide the following equipment:
  • Four “medium duty” trailers are based in various parts of the region. These trailers are based in Strongsville, Beachwood, and Elyria and Mentor.  Each 20’ Wells-Cargo 16,000lb capacity trailer is towed by an International 4400 series truck with a 4 door cab and utility body.

These trailer and tow vehicle combinations contain, in part:

  • Electric reciprocating saws
  • Electric circular saws
  • Oxy-gas torch
  • Oxy-acetylene torch
  • Hand drills, rotary hammer drills

  • Hand tools, hand saws, framing hammers, framing squares, levels, utility knives
  • Pneumatic nailers
  • Ellis jacks and clamps
  • Electric generators
  • Air compressors
  • Halogen scene lighting
  • PPE for responding personnel
  • Hi-lift jacks
  • Cable hoists, chains and wire slings
  • Search cameras
  • Laser levels
  • One “heavy trailer” is based in Cleveland. This 53’ trailer is towed by an International 8600 series tandem axle truck. In addition to storage heavier-duty equipment and advanced search gear, this trailer also contains an on-board electrical generator and a self-contained office area.

  • Limited supply of lumber for initiating shoring operations
