The School Resources Unit of the Bureau of Community Policing works to improve the quality of life for Clevelanders by fostering positive relations within the community, coordinating and administering education programs, and conducting training programs, interactive meetings and informational classes.

Police Community Presentations and Information

216.623.5080 - Weekdays 8 am to 5 pm

Officers are available to distribute information and ensure positive police/resident interaction at community events including children/youth events, festivals, block/street clubs, and crime prevention fairs.

Building Security Surveys

216.623.5080 - Weekdays 8 am to 5 pm

Officers meet with property owners and residents to survey, review, and suggest improvements in security.

Brown Bag Safety Seminars

216.623.5080 - Weekdays 8 am to 5 pm

Police Officers conduct one-hour presentations on personal, office, home and automobile safety on employee lunch hours.

Adult School Crossing Guard Unit

216.623.5577 - Weekdays 8 am to 5 pm

These paid part-time employees are assigned to crossing guard posts throughout the City of Celveland.  School Crossing Guards are trained and supervised by sworn Cleveland Police Officers.  The City welcomes calls from those seeking part-time employment as Crossing Guards.  Interviews for these positions are held year-round.
