Division of Waste Collection and Disposal

This Division provides weekly collection of waste from 155,000 Cleveland homes, the West Side Market, Fire and Police Stations, the Justice Center, City Hall and other City buildings, and public areas.

It also places dumpsters at neighborhood events and community functions and plays an active role in special cleanup programs. Dumpsters are also available for commercial accounts and homeowners.

Residential Collection Programs

An automated waste-collection program has begun for Cleveland residents. The new system is significantly more efficient and user-friendly, and should encourage more participation in recycling, since items can be recycled curbside.

Through this program, residents receive sturdy garbage carts for trash and recycling which can be wheeled to the curb. The program will also allow Clevelanders to recycle yard waste including grass clippings and branches.  -more

Commercial Services Now Available
