On November 12th, Clevelanders once again proved to the Division of Waste Collection that they are dedicated to “Going Green” to help the environment, when over 450 cars drove up and dropped off recyclable material.
Participants delivered a record 23,686 lbs (12 tons!) of paper- which was shredded free of charge by All Ohio Secure Shred- and 1,820 lbs of cardboard.
Additionally, 1.5 tons of tires were recycled along with several tons of plastic, aluminum and glass. Residents were educated and enlightened by several city departments that provided information and demonstrations on recycling, water filtration and sewage, electricity conservation and yard waste composting. >>More Info and Images
Six Free Composting Clinics To Be Held Residents can learn how to turn yard waste, grass clippings and food waste into soil nutrients for landscaping projects from the Division of Waste Collection which will host Composting Clinics until October 4th.

Coming This Summer! Carts will roll to the curb of 30,000 more Cleveland households in June when Waste Collection expands its automated collection and curbside recycling service. Selected areas have begun receiving post card notices.
