Cudell Recreation Center Basketball Court Refurbished by Cavs
 

The City of Cleveland’s Cudell Recreation Center has undergone a beautiful refurbishment sponsored by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The court was debuted to children and others at the rec center on April 9th. The Cudell court is the first of 19 slated for refurbishment in the City of Cleveland by the Cavs.

  • Craft Carnival at Cudell Fine Arts Promises Family Fun

    On Thursday June 14th from Noon to 3pm, a festival of games and prizes kicks off the summer for the community. The Bureau of Cultural Arts will present their 2018 summer schedule. This is a free event open to the public.

  • Bug Fest Celebrates Insects- Open to the Public

    Thursday June 28th from 2 to 5pm. This annual event will be held on Thursday June 28th from 2 to 5pm. It's a celebration of insects and their relatives, and designed for children of all ages. The festival will include face painting, music and snow cones for participants.

  • Chalk-A-Walk Festival Public Sidewalk Drawing Event, Showagon to Perform

    This is a FREE public sidewalk chalk drawing event on Tuesday July 24th from 1 to 3pm. Patrons are provided with buckets of chalk, giving everyone the opportunity to show off their artistic abilities on a cement canvas. The festival will include face painting, music, snow cones and a collaborative piece that everyone can participate in. Showagon will entertain the community to close out the Chalk-A-Walk Festival.

  • Cleveland Senior Walk Series This Summer

    The Cleveland Department of Aging and the Division of Recreation are sponsoring six walks at scenic parks and recreation centers around Cleveland this summer. Each walk will offer safety tips by Cleveland Police, an opportunity to walk with an EMS Medic, health tips by community partners and a raffle.

  • League Park's Baseball Heritage Museum Gift Shop Offers Cleveland Baseball Souvenirs

    Professional Cleveland sports teams had their start at historic League Park. It's now home to the Baseball Heritage Museum, which offers keepsakes including mugs, t-shirts, baseballs, and League Park History DVD's, all at reasonable prices.

  • City Recreation Volunteer Openings Available Year-Round

    The Division of Recreation is seeking volunteers. Recreation center volunteers enrich the community in several areas including the arts, sports, education, and mentoring. These generous individuals are from diverse backgrounds and include people of all ages from recent graduates seeking practical experience, to retirees with spare time to share.

This program encompasses a variety of classes and activities at various recreational centers. Activities include aquacise, arts & crafts, aerobics, chess, checkers and other social activities


Camp Forbes Senior Program

Each Fall, the Division of Recreation invites senior groups to take part in a day of activities. Seniors have the opportunity to socialize, exercise, eat a well-balanced hot lunch, and take part in a variety of planned activities. Senior groups are registered on a first-come, first-served basis. The program culminates with five separate holiday parties with all of the trimmings and a visit from Santa Claus himself.
