The Division of Assessments and Licenses provides administrative, regulatory and financial services for constituents and other city divisions. Services include:
Issuance and enforcement of various permits and licenses
Business tax administration
Invoice and/or collection of special improvement districts, assessments, and other city services
Inspection of weighing and measuring devices throughout the City of Cleveland
Waste Fee Increase and Exemption Forms The waste collection fee was instituted to recover some of the costs in providing waste collection services. Effective with the January, 2013 water bills, the fee will increase to $8.75 per unit (monthly) for Cleveland property owners, a 25 cent increase from 2012. Those seeking exemption must apply by 3/31/13. -more

Registrants for Domestic Partnerships* must be 18 or older, and neither may be married or in an existing domestic partnership with someone else. Registrants can deliver or mail a completed application form and $55 to the Division of Assessments and Licenses at the above address. Acceptable forms of in-person payment include money order, check, or cashiers check (made out to the City of Cleveland); cash, or credit/debit card. Photo ID is required to enter the building. Those registering via mail may pay by check or money order only.
