Division of Accounts

The Division of Accounts maintains the City’s financial accounting records and facilitates the timely payment of the City’s liabilities. Also, serves as the collection point for all payroll data and monitors the processing of the City’s payrolls and related reports.

The Division of Accounts processes the encumbrances of contracts, provides accurate and timely payroll data and processes the payments to the City’s vendors.

Mission Statement


To provide professional financial management services and protect the fiscal integrity of the City; by maximizing the collection of revenue, judiciously investing public monies and practicing generally accepted financial management principles in a manner consistent with the guidelines required by the Codified Ordinances of Cleveland, City Council, the Mayor’s Office, and other governmental units.
