Community Development

The Department of Community Development is responsible for planning, administering, and evaluating HUD funds. The Department implements programs designed to conserve and expand the housing stock; revitalize commercial areas; acquire, maintain, and market vacant land; improve the quality of human services; and develop small area or neighborhood strategies.

  • Public Notice of Substantial Amendment to the City of Cleveland, Department of Community Development Five Year Consolidated Plan and 2014 Action Plan

    The City of Cleveland is required to publish a notice concerning any changes or amendments to its Action Plan of the Five Year Consolidated Plan and the HOME Investment Partnership Program. The changes to the HOME program are considered a Substantial Amendment to the Consolidated Plan and to the HOME program year Action Plan.

  • 2016 Storefront Program Awards Keynote Speech

    The 2016 Storefront Program Awards event was held on May 15, 2016. Richard Pace, CEO, Cumberland Real Estate Development, was the keynote speaker for the event. The program helps neighborhood retail districts become more attractive, economically viable, and diverse places to visit and shop by assisting in the design and funding of signage and the rehabilitation of traditional storefront buildings.
