This gated off-leash dog park at West 11th and Clark is approximately one acre. Fresh water and shade are available, and the park includes benches and trees. Friends of Clark Field maintains the park.
There are photos online of dogs and cats available for adoption from the Kennel. A $30 adoption fee includes spay/neutering, microchip, and vaccination. Families who adopt dogs are required to procure a dog license ($21.00) at the time of the adoption. The reclamation fee for return of a lost dog to its owner is $40 plus a license fee, if the dog is not licensed.
The cost of the license fee depends on the time of year that the animal is reclaimed. From December 1st to January 31st the fee is $21 From January 31st to November 30th the fee is $41. Licenses are available at the Kennel. All persons wishing to access this service must present a photo ID in order to enter the building.
Help is available for Cleveland residents concerned about the stray cat population. The City recently granted $10,000 to the Animal Protective League to help defray the cost of sterilization of feral cats.
Currently, the APL is providing spay/neuter services at an affordable rate for feral cats and kittens. Information about the Cleveland APL Trap-Neuter-Return Program for feral cats can be found here.

Animal complaints include complaints of barking dogs, dogs running loose, dog bites, and other dog nuisances. The City of Cleveland Kennel responds to calls concerning animal ordinances, and it provides stray animal pickup throughout the City of Cleveland.
Friends of the Cleveland Kennel are looking for people willing to volunteer with dogs and cats. Volunteers who work at the Kennel clean cages, and feed, bathe, and walk dogs. Opportunities are also available for those who can foster dogs and cats. Foster homes offer a viable, temporary alternative for animals who have no place to go. In addition, the group seeks donations of pet supplies including food, toys, collars and leashes, blankets and beds.
