Expect additional traffic notices as improvements continue

CLEVELAND – As part of the City’s ongoing road improvement project the intersection at East 152nd St and Holmes Avenue will be closed to implement pavement improvement repairs and allow time for the material to cure. The duration of the closure is expected to last approximately 3 weeks.

The East 152nd Street project extends along a 1.60 mile section of East 152nd Street from Woodworth Avenue to Waterloo Road.

The improvements include asphalt milling, pavement base repair, asphalt resurfacing, installation of Americans with Disabilities Act compliant ramps, curb and sidewalk replacement as needed, water main installation, and new pavement markings. The construction cost is $5.6 million and is scheduled for completion in December 2017. The work will take place during daytime hours from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This project is scheduled for completion in December 2017.

Should there be any questions, please contact the City of Cleveland Chief Inspector, Traci Hartnett-Mercado at 216-244-5636.

Editor’s Note: Road construction invariably presents hazards to the public. All travelers are urged to use caution in construction zones. Public safety and the safety of workers is a top priority.
