PIR 2165 - Crane & Union
(City of Cleveland Ward 6)

Expect additional traffic notices as work progresses

CLEVELAND – Pipeline infrastructure improvements begin on Thursday, May 25, 2017, weather permitting. These include work on the following streets:

  • From Union Ave. south 180’ along (vacated) East 88th Street to connect service at house #3515.
  • No work will actually take place on Crane (relocated East 88th Street)

Improvement to infrastructure begins with the replacement of old steel mainlines. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times with traffic control personnel in the work zone(s) directing traffic. In addition, a Law Enforcement Officer (L.E.O) will be present at all signalized intersections. Access to adjacent driveways will be maintained throughout construction. The work will take place during daytime hours from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Traffic revisions remain in effect until June 2017. This project is scheduled for completion in June 2017.

Editor’s Note: Road construction invariably presents hazards to the public. All travelers are urged to use caution in construction zones. Public safety and the safety of workers is a top priority.
