Lorain Avenue to West 41st Street

Expect additional traffic notices as improvements continue

CLEVELAND – On March 20, 2017, as a part of the City’s ongoing road improvements and upgrades, a new traffic pattern will be implemented on Clark Avenue, from Lorain Avenue to West 65th Street.

Clark westbound traffic will be detoured northbound on West 65th Street to westbound Lorain Avenue. Eastbound traffic will be maintained on the south side of Clark between Lorain Avenue and West 65th Street. We ask that motorists remain be alert for lane shifts. Signs, barricades and orange drums will be used to indicate the direction of traffic. This detour is to remain in effect until November, 2017.

This project extends along a 1.75 mile section of Clark Avenue between Lorain Avenue and West 41st Street. The improvements include a new asphalt surface, pavement base, curb sidewalk and drive apron repairs, ADA Compliant ramps, and new catch basins, where necessary, new traffic signals, signs and pavement markings, including bike lanes/sharrows. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2018.

Questions can be directed to the City of Cleveland Chief Inspector, Traci Hartnett-Mercado at 216-244-5636.
